About the Job
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer that completes our Content Engineering Team.
The Content Engineering Team(s) develops the software solutions required to manage Joyn’s streaming catalog, consisting of live, catch-up and premium subscription-based content from multiple partners. You will build the internal tools and infrastructure to solve the challenges of getting content to Joyn customers in the most efficient, most effective and highest quality as possible.

Develop cutting-edge streaming content processing solutions, using modern technologies consisting of TypeScript, Node.js, Kafka, AWS, Gitlab and moreOnboard into media formats, standards, technologies and processes and ultimately achieve a deeper understanding of content requirements.Work as a team, respect and support each other in the team, practise agile methodologies and help develop and evangelize great engineering and organizational practices.Take care of running your services in production, continuously identify and resolve technical debt, quality issues and gaps in engineering processes.Focus on learning, applying, and extending best-in-class industry practices to continue to raise the bar on providing developer delight and speed of delivery for the team.Follow trends in software and streaming tech and turn your learnings into features and improvements that delight our customers.
What we are looking for
A fast-paced environment is something you feel really comfortable in.University degree in computer science, information technology, media engineering, or equivalent.Significant, sound, and proven experience in TypeScript and Node.js, additional languages are a plus.Experience with AWS services, especially auto-scaling and serverless.You strive to improve the overall quality and maintainability of the existing code baseEnglish is our team language
